England Athletics Level 1 Coaching Course 11th October and 22nd November
Active Berwick have successfully gained the New England Athletics Level 1 Coaching Course.
The course is being held at the Swan Centre for Leisure on the 11th of October and the 22nd of November 9am till 5pm
The cost of the course is normally £250 but Active Berwick have worked with England Athletics to bring the course cost down to £150. In addition Active Berwick will also give each candidate £50 back when the attend the course on the first day. So in all each candidate will only be paying £100. This has made the course more accessible to all should benefit athletics within the Berwick area.
UKCC Level 1 course consists of:
One day learning on a course
A period of six weeks during which you will be supporting a more experienced coach at your own club
A second day working with the same group of coaches that you met on day one. On the two days you will be introduced to some key 'what to coach' ideas - the events - as well as learning about how to coach - the coaching skills.
After the second day you will have an opportunity to practice and develop your skills back at the club
An assessment day, about six weeks after Day 2
