Active Berwick Club Forum Launched
Active Berwick have set up the new Club Forum for sports clubs and individuals within the Berwick Borough. The Forum will be an opportunity for local clubs to engage with each other, share good practise, discuss particular issues and promote their Activities.
The first Active Berwick Club Forum meeting will take place on the 23rd of September 2009 at Berwick Rugby Club. The forum will being at 7:30pm.
The first speaker for the new club forum will be Steve Newman. Steve is involved with many clubs in the area and has links into marketing for clubs. Steve will be giving a talk on marketing and promotion of sports clubs. Also during the forum you will be able to address issues your club is having and also events you are organising for your club.
When a club signs up to the Active Berwick Club Forum these are the benefits they will receive.
1. FREE access to the themed club forum sessions throughout the year (not including functions) for your club members. Themes will include:
Marketing & promoting your club (23rd September)
Child Protection
Fund raising for your club
Club accreditation - the benefits and the process
2. Reduced (subsidized) coaching course fees
3. Your Club will be able to apply for a (maximum) £250 grant
4. Two FREE places for your club on any Active Berwick club development workshops or training courses. (Not including coaching courses and first aid).

5. Help with funding applications to external funding organisations from Active Berwick.

7. Promotion of your club events on the Active Berwick Website / What's on page
For clubs to receive the benefits above they must have paid a £25 cheque made out to Active Berwick first and filled out a affiliation form.
