Emergency First Aid Course 10th and 17th of August
Active Berwick are hosting an Emergency First Aid (sport) workshop on the 10th and 17th of August. The course last a total of 6 hours and will be split into two sessions.
The course will take place at Berwick Rugby Football Club. Each session will being at 6:30pm and will last till 9:30pm.
The workshop cost £40 per person. However if Active Berwick get 15 people to attend the ISA- safety Training and Consultancy running the course will then offer it at £30 per person. The minimum numbers for the course is 6 and the maximum 20.

Training summary
The purpose and aim of the training is to provide candidates with the skills, knowledge and understanding of first aid to provide appropriate care and manage life threatening conditions, illness and injuries sustained in a sport and activity environment.
To offer the opportunity for those appointed as first aiders to provide quality and effective first aid care in a sport and activity environment. This is achieved through an understanding of the general duties, responsibilities and treatment principles of first aid.
The training provides opportunities within employment or further study by enabling coaches, sports industry workers and employers to meet their obligations in providing quality Sports First Aid provision in their sport and activity settings and also meet the criteria laid down in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for Emergency First Aid (Sports). Candidates who successfully complete this award may enhance employment opportunities in a wide range of sport, recreation and allied occupational areas.
Progression form the Emergency First Aid (Sports) could lead to either voluntary or paid employment in many areas of the sports and leisure industry.
There is a legal and moral responsibility to consider first aid arrangements within companies, groups and organisations. The Sports First Aid has been mapped against Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
