Berwick Gymnastics Club
Berwick Gymnastics club was established October 2000 it operates as an independent, self-financing, non profit making organisation. Based at the Swan Centre for Leisure, it presently has over fifty members.
The club provides Safe, Effective and Child friendly Gymnastics experiences to all. This has been recognised by our club being awarded GymMark by British Gymnastics, the UK governing body for our sport. Our application to this scheme was supported by Active Berwick.
All Berwick Gymnastics Club coaching staff have British Gymnastics qualifications and have been CRB checked; 1 Women’s Club Coach, 1 General Club Coach, 1 Pre-School Club, 1 Disability Club Coach, 1 Sports Acrobatics Club Coach and 3 Assistant Club Coaches / Volunteers. Berwick Gymnastics offer both recreational (beginner) and improver classes.
Debbie Couch was nominated as Volunteer of the Year and was awarded Runner Up at the Active Berwick awards 2009.
Berwick gymnastics club are looking to recruit further Trainee Coaches / Helpers / Committee Members.
Although Berwick Gymnastics Club does not employ trainee coaches, grants are available to assist in becoming qualified, and any trainee coach who has a child attending the club receives a free session for each session they coach.
The training days and time for the clubs are as follows: Swan Centre for Leisure: Thursday 16:30 till 18:30
Saturdays 13:00-14:30 then 14:30-16:00
