Kirknewtons Archers
Kirknewton Archery Club was started when a certain Neil Coles thought to himself "I think I'll start an archery club and call it Kilham & Kirknewton Archery club". So with this in mind he applied for an awards for all grant for our initial equipment and was granted a tidy sum for that purpose.
Kirknewton is about five miles west of Wooler ( North Northumberland) and is fairly easy to get to.
Look for the flagpoles at Akeld ( 2 1/2 miles out of Wooler as you're heading north on the A697 toward Milfield ) and turn onto the minor road beside them then just follow the road.
You will find us at Kirknewton Village Hall on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and also the first and third Sunday of each month at 1pm.
If it's nice weather, we may be shooting in one of the fields within 200 metres of the hall. You'll see us from the road.
Level 1 Coach's
In spring of 2008 and after a years worth of training the club acquired 6 shiney new dedicated Level One Coaches complete with certificates and badges.
