Norham Running Club

Norham Running Club in actionNorham Running Club meets every Thursday at 7.00pm usually in the Village Hall, Norham. Norham is off the A697 Berwick to Coldstream road right next to the river Tweed.

We are an open club and welcome everybody.

Norham Running Club, started in 1986. Members are spread over the eastern end of the Tweed valley within the square of towns Wooler, Kelso, Duns and Berwick.
Our main meeting each week is on Thursday USUALLY in Norham . (If you are thinking of coming along ring one of the below to check its not one of our awaydays)

Our club colours are now familiar over the North of England and Southern Scotland. We participate in road, cross country and hill races.

Within the club there are internal events, such as a club championship based on a handicapped race in September, a cross country championship during the winter.

On the social side our Thursday meetings often end at one of the local hostelries. Annually we have a christmas social. Most of the events or races we have end with food and drink. We also use all excuses, christmas, easter, championship etc etc etc to organise a social after.

We organise a number of races each year, and alongside those of our local nearest opposition in Berwick, Dunbar and Eyemouth we have a healthy amount of competition without travelling too far.

Over the years we have supported a number of charities through our events, most notable being a relay right around the county boundary of Northumberland in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke. The distance of 261 miles of mostly rough country was completed in 38hours and 40 minutes.
